His Father

After my My Mark Matters™ presentation a young man approached me to tell me his father is a pediatric burn surgeon. He was interested in knowing what year I was burned and how I was treated to better understand how treatments for burns have changed. I shared the reverent emotions and feelings I carry for people in the profession his father is in. And that I am trying to find the family of the surgeon who saved my life in 1966 so that I may tell them what I’ve done with the life he saved. He told me he was overwhelmed with a new understanding of his father’s commitment and the importance of his father’s profound impact he is having on human lives.
